 History of Martial Arts Cluster

Tae Kwon Do Activity Permission slip is due by Friday Sept. 27th.

Uniform money is due by Friday October 11th.

Next Promotion Ceremony will be held on Jan 23rd  at  6 :30PM   in  the  School Auditorium.

Promotion Board Applications are due two weeks prior to testing.

 

 This prerequisite course for entering the after school class, examines the history and impact of various Martial Arts around the world.

Students in this course conduct personal research of various Martial Arts as well as examine documents, videos, and novels provided by their facilitators throughout a 15 week time period.

While researching various Martial Arts, students practice the Martial Art of Tae Kwon Do to gain a physcial understanding, as well as an interest, in Martial Arts.

Upon completetion of the Martial Arts cluster students are given the opportunity to take a World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF), Independent Tae Kwon Do Association, belt promotion board test.

In addition to being belt tested students also put together a research presentation. After 15 weeks of reserach students present their product during an event called the Cluster Showcase. At this event students are given a chance to talk about what they experienced over the past 15 weeks in their History of Martial Arts cluster
