Kingsborough Early College Secondary School of Tae Kwon Do

 The Grand Master Joseph N. Vasile Dedication Award

The Grand Master Joseph N. Vasile Award is given annually during the end of the year promotion ceremony. It is the highest awarded a student can receive. It is given to a student who has demonstrated dedication to studying Tae Kwon Do at Kingsborough Early College Secondary School. This is demonstrated by their enthusiasm in class, their helpfulness to others, their dedication to perfect their mind, body, and skill.

Grand Master Joseph N. Vasile was the instructor of Master Michael Kullman. Grand Master Vasile was the former Master of East Coast Martial Arts and the Staten Island YMCA School of Tae Kwon Do. He helped with the establishment of the Kingsborough Early College Secondary School of Tae Kwon Do program. Grand Master Vasile passed away in December of 2012.

           The 2014 and second recipient of the Grand Master Joseph N. Vasile Dedication Award was awarded to Melchizedek Tetteh.

 The 2013 and first recipient of the Grand Master Joseph N. Vasile Dedication Award was awarded to Nicholas Daege a graduating senior.
